From spotting a niche in a fast growing industry, to becoming the leader in our field.

2003

Neill Butcher, co-founder and senior consultant, forms Headcount – recognising a need in the market for a specialist recruitment company geared purely towards the needs of the card and e-payment industry.

2004

Headcount moves into commercial premises and Viv Owen joins Headcount as Key Account Director. Between them, Neill and Viv, now draw on 24 years’ of payment industry experience to drive the fledgling card & e-payment recruitment agency onwards.

2005

Exponential growth over the next 12 months sees headcount increase its team to six people by the end of 2005.

2006

Headcount moves into shared office centre office facilities to accommodate growth.

2007

Headcount relocates once more, to the City. Our central London address enables the company to be closer to our UK client portfolio and candidate pools. It’s also a great location from which to cover Global markets.

2009

As we move forwards, we aim to remain up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in this ever involving industry, and grow in associated areas such as fraud, risk and IT – reinforcing Headcount’s reputation as the leading resource for payment jobs and card, e-payment and mobile payments recruitment solutions.
