Job Description

Head of Product Strategy

- Product strategy for the UK

- "Off roadmap" product innovations and investigating potential new areas for growth

- SPP process

- Large business cases

- Pricing

- Ad hoc investigations / analysis for Dir UK Products & Credit
Strong understanding and experience of the payments &/or consumer banking market in the UK

Innovative mindset

Pragmatic approach to problem solving and delivery in a large organisation

Negotiation skills and experience

Consumer credit experience is desirable
BSc or equivalent in a numerical discipline

MBA preferred

Summary
As promised this is the key deliverables for the Head of Product Strategy role:
Responsible for
The organisation UK’s product strategy
Evaluate areas of strategic opportunity, deciding on build, partner or M&A as appropriate
Lead product innovations that fall into the partner or M&A categories
Partnership negotiations where appropriate
Development of large business cases for investment
UK strategic planning process
Pricing strategy for the organisation
Monitor pan-EU / Global product builds in new verticals and mobile categories & feed in UK market requirements where appropriate
Ad Hoc investigations / analysis for Dir UK Products & Credit
1 direct report (an analyst)
