Job Description
The Role
The Product manager will focus on advancing Corporate prepaid capability, they will leverage their expertise in the product development field to develop creative and market leading product enhancements as well as new product developments, Focusing on cross border markets and working with the wider business teams, they will aim to make the product an industry leading program.
The product manager will develop a product roadmap spanning the next 3-5 years that aligns to the Group and Divisional strategies. They will be highly effective at identifying and progressing product development initiatives and leverage cross-functional teams to deliver against aggressive timescales. Throughout this process, the Product Manager will take account of various factors including market and competitive assessments, commercial evaluation, technology, risk assessment and compliance, whilst optimising the proposition and customer experience.
The Product Manager will initiate and coordinate various research activities to develop and validate the proposition solutions. They must be resilient and persistent, driving through the product development process, possessing the project management and coordination skills in order to deliver world class solutions. Communication of the product proposition, provision of pre-sales specialist support and credibility at all levels in the organisation are all key success factors.
Whilst implementation resides elsewhere in the team, the Product Manager remains a key stakeholder throughout the delivery phase and is expected to provide specific support to the project including ownership of the customer materials and the customer journey.
The Person
Candidates will have a proven track record in product and proposition development in the card industry, particularly prepaid, where they will have identified and delivered a number of innovative solutions. They will have a clear view on innovation in the prepaid payments industry and experience of developing and selling in concepts and plans at senior level. Ideally their experience will span a number of geographical markets.
The candidate must be a team player with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. They must have excellent presentation skills, commercial acumen and be able to use their own initiative with limited direction within a matrix organisational structure. Additionally they will be proactive, flexible, conscientious individuals who can work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
