Job Description

Core Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to improve the customer experience to increase activation, retention and usage. This particular role will require someone that can understand the customer life cycle, identify areas of opportunity and improvements, justify changes, champion the customers’ needs, and has an appreciation of multi country dynamics, and the ability to prioritise competing requirements.

Product marketing responsibilities
• Maximising the use of self service, ensuring customer satisfaction is high, and that the company product is the preferred payment solution.
• Understanding the online experience, define where we are falling short of expectations.
• Lead thinking on how we can utilise marketing to support business objectives and drive revenue.

Product Management responsibilities
• Leading the rollout of new products and features across the EU,
• A high level of communication, coordination and direction with cross-functional teams located in the EU, the US and Asia.
• An understanding of core businesses and the ability to assess how new functionality will impact product, processes, policies and customers.
• Lead the thinking on how to leverage new functionality to best achieve company goals.
• Assessing the product versus alternative payment methods, and gaining an understanding of where trends suggest we as a company must move to best meet consumer needs.

Product Development responsibilities
• Supporting the development of customer experience journeys for key propositions
• Develop ideas, researching customer needs and build compelling propositions.
• Gathering product requirements, writing the business case and product spec, and then manage the product or unique piece of functionality through the development and go-to-market plan.

This role will involve extensive coordination and collaboration with the Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Risk, and Customer Service functions. You will be a key member of the UK Product team, and the wider EU Experience Group.

EU and occasional travel to the US will be critical to successful execution of the responsibilities.

Job Requirements
• BA/BSc plus 5+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience, ideally with an internet, payment company, consultancy, venture capitalist organisation, or B2B company
• Proven track record delivering customer experience improvements/enhancements: identify issues, proving the benefit of resolving, and launching them
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of the UK payments space highly preferred along with an awareness of the EU market place - but not an absolute requirement
• Experience of customer needs gathering, market research, and analysis
• Proficiency in creating and delivering, compelling consumer propositions
• Strong project management skills, with experience of work prioritisation, planning and influencing and cross functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels
• Thrives in an environment of continuous change and complexity- can drive quality insights and deliver high impact projects
• “Can do” attitude, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure, must be eager
