Job Description
The Opportunity
The role of the Retail Offers Management contractor is to drive clarity of strategic thinking, robust planning and delivery of ‘best in class’ offers for the company Loyalty Programme that is rolling out across our clients. Traction is required for implementing the negotiations approach with key retailers across Europe to source ‘best in class’ offers, managing the cost of sourcing offers directly or via agencies and ensuring the approach is in line with the vision, strategy and roadmap.
Key Accountabilities
The role has ten key objectives:
Responsible for strategic thought leadership within the loyalty area to ensure there is a clear engagement plan to deliver offers in markets where a programme is required
Deliver and gain acceptance of the offers with each client, in collaboration with the company Sales & Marketing
Ensure co-ordination/consistency in offer approach/standards across Markets, clients and the company
Ensure integration and alignment of offer plans with the company corporate priorities and objectives
Develop robust and clear mechanisms by which the efficacy of offers can be measured and to ensure these are effectively implemented, in collaboration with the VP, Segmentation and Targeting
Work with Partnership Marketing, Marketing Planning, country teams and other key stakeholders in the company to articulate and advocate the offers point of view within broader business issues and to clearly define offer needs/deliverables
Ongoing assessment and monitoring of third party suppliers and ensure that all services are delivered against confirmed objectives and to best value for the company
Seek ways to improve profile of the company as a leading company within the Loyalty space through innovative and appropriate communications/negotiations solutions
Develop system to allow learnings and information within the Loyalty area to be shared across the company, clients and Retailers
Ensure all outputs are communicated in an innovative and effective fashion
Candidate Profile
You will ideally have a minimum of 10 years business experience with the majority in sales and/or marketing roles that involved retailer promotions, preferably across multiple European markets
Demonstrable track record of developing retailer promotion strategies and plans based on strong business analytics
Established network of retail contacts
Excellent influencing, relationship management and communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
Real passion for making things happen and willing to be ‘hands on’ – in a constructive way across the team and organisation
Great presentational skills, both in putting presentations together and their delivery
Strong drive, stamina and positive frame of mind
The ability to function in an environment with matrix management and fluid responsibilities
The ability to speak more than one European language is an advantage
