Job Description

Position Summary:
Plans, implements, schedules and monitors the progress of assigned projects. Ensures that the final product meets the customer’s expectations and requirements and is within budget of the scope of the contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Role of the Project Manager

• Development Project Management, from start of projects (Business Requirements), through the certification process.
• Responsible for managing and motivating a team of Development and SQA
• Ensure all deliverables meet customer needs, market needs and all aspects of the SDLC is covered and handled properly
• Work priorities for projects as set by the Manager
• To take overall responsibility for the implementation and management of all software projects assigned to the Team. From a functional, quality, timeliness and budgetary prospective.
• To work with sales in ensuring the projects are correctly evaluated and scoped from a technical stand point.
• To provide regular information to Senior Management on the status of all projects in progress.
• To establish good working relationships with the appropriate staff within customer organizations ensuring that all projects meet any mutually agreed deadlines.
• Ensure that all completed projects have the appropriate sign-off from the customer and that they are invoiced in a timely manner.
• Foster open and clear communications between other internal organizations to improve our customer value.
• Coordinates internal resources and monitors the progress to ensure that project is running smoothly.
• Coordinates and monitors activities of third party service providers if applicable to ensure the service procedures are followed and handled effectively.
• Escalates problems and follows up to ensure resolution.
• Facilitate meetings as needed with external customers and internal staff to discuss current and outstanding account/project issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Manages issues and Risks through effective project and Risk issue Management.

Knowledge and Experience:
• Prince 2 qualification or equivalent desirable
• Several years’ previous experience in a similar role.
• Payments industry Knowledge is desirable
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Strong Planning and time management

Skills/Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization
• Proficiency with PCs and common software applications
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
