Job Description

Reports to: Marketing Communications Manager

Purpose of the role
• Development and delivery of external communications projects, within brand guidelines
• Management and delivery of Direct Mail campaigns, both for promotional (for customer acquisition/retention) and operational criteria
• Management and delivery of key communications for mandatory projects
• Production of promotional material for use at external conferences and exhibitions
• Supplier management role e.g. design agencies
• Invoice management and budget/cost control
• Supporting the Intranet site and the internet site
• Provide support for PR/Media communication activity

Deliverables:
Delivery of mandatory and tactical campaigns - following agreed processes, to budget, on time
and to agreed targets/measures.
Development of techniques designed to monitor success criteria and profitability
Project management and delivery of customer communications projects

Experience:
Direct marketing and/or general marketing experience gained ideally in a business-to
business or financial services environment.
Knowledge or appreciation of database management would be an advantage
Ability to define campaign requirements and communicate clearly, to both internal & external audiences
Experience of undertaking PR activities
Numerate and analytical in order to interpret campaign management results.
Proven skills of managing end-to-end projects
Proven delivery of campaigns
Proactive, with the ability to gain buy-in for ideas.
Direct marketing experience preferable or CIM/IDM qualified.

Other Significant Role Requirements:
The candidate may be required to project manage marketing communications projects to support the launch of new initiatives or mandatory/regulatory changes.

Technical Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications: Word and Excel a must
Good knowledge of campaign management methodology
