A world-leading company within the travel technology industry is seeking an insightful and experienced Global Head of Operations to work within their Madrid office.

The position is a fantastic and unique opportunity for someone to take a role and make it their own as it offers scope for the right individual to innovate and evolve the role on a personal level. The right candidate will have extensive prior experience of operations as well as an independent and knowledgeable approach towards structuring operations. 

What you will do:
  • Evolve and structure operations
  • Lead the Client Care team with a focus on customer loyalty and customer satisfaction.
  • Define quality standards for the product and services
  • Manage incidents, crisis, and escalation 
  • Manage and control the transaction flows end-to-end 
  • Client onboarding and KYC management
  • Risk and transactional fraud management 
  • Manage the reporting system and coordinate overall integrity and timing 
  • Coordinate with external parties as well as key internal stakeholders
  • Define optimal integration with related internal systems, apps and whatever other sources used for reports generation. 
  • Line manage team 
  • Ensure high levels of engagement and motivation 
  • Drive recruitment for appropriate levels of skills, expertise and attitude 

Relevant prior experience:
  • Identifying and contacting new prospective clients.
  • Experience working within a Payments organisation
  • Managing large operations teams and within large multinational organisations
  • Experience managing and/or Supporting Risk and Treasury Function (incl. treasury accounting, FX, liquidity, cashflow and various financial instruments) is an additional advantage

You bring to the table:
  • Strong understanding of the payments and travel industry (preferable)
  • Ability to foresee business opportunities in the payments industry
  • Think globally and can anticipate future industry and organization changes
  • Create engagement toward results, work across boundaries, align organization for strategic implementations
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
