Head of Enterprise Sales - DACH – Berlin/ Remote (Exclusive Search)


About the opportunity:

Our client is a global Payments company focussed on eCommerce. This role will see you assume responsibility for the Enterprise Sales business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the aim of growing the business in existing and new verticals and build strong, lasting and profitable partnerships. To achieve this you will bring a depth of eComm experience to the role, gained from extensive direct exposure to the Payments industry. You will offer a track record of successful solution and strategic sales, and recognise how to deliver best-in-class service and mutually beneficial commercial and marketing agreements.


What will you be challenged to:

  • Own the revenue & sales targets for our Enterprise Sales pipeline.
  • Lead & develop a team of Enterprise Sales managers.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Monitor business targets and drive resolution of issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with leadership to review performance and identify new areas of opportunity.
  • Define actionable solutions to meet merchant’s needs, leveraging a cross-functional team including Marketing, Product, Sales, Legal and Risk.
  • Work with the cross-functional teams from Marketing, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Product and Technology to define and implement best practice.


What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Payment Industry, Financial Services, eCommerce, Retail and/ or Strategy Consulting.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high performing team.
  • Genuine interest for e-commerce and payments and a good understanding of the firm’s value proposition.
  • Experience in leading & developing a team to achieve high performance.
  • Deep sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record.
  • Solution-driven problem solver with an innovative mindset being able to think outside the box.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to talk and present confidently in front of key internal and external stakeholders and senior management.
  • Fluent in German and English.
