A UK based non bank trade finance provider is looking for a Marketing Manager to work in the Chinese Market. The role is based in their London HQ Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the incumbent will play a key role in delivering the ongoing marketing strategy with main focus on the  Chinese markets.

The role will primarily be responsible for managing the development and implementation of on-line (and off-line) advertising campaigns focused on digital platforms and printed press and have sole responsibility for developing an implementing the firm’s strategy in this jurisdiction. 

You will have an innate understanding of the Chinese Market and be fluent in Mandarin.

Role Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

  • Working closely with media sell houses and media agencies on annual media plans including month-by-month evaluation of campaign delivery and performance as well as constantly work to  improve efficiencies. This should include budget management including targets (CPAs, brand awareness etc).
  • Writing ad-hoc tactical and strategic agency briefs for all required campaigns for the respective market, across all relevant media channels.
  • Working closely with our creative teams and agencies, where applicable, to ensure all advertising channels and campaigns are delivered on time, according to brief, on budget and approved by all the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Working with retained media and creative agencies to manage all supporting administration, such as estimating/invoicing, monthly rotation plans, usage negotiations etc.

 

You will have:

  • Strong understanding of localised digital marketing landscape and its trends – marketing concepts, strategy and best practice. 
  • Experience in media mix modelling, understanding the impact of above the line/branding activity on acquisition and retention activity through digital channels, and how these relate specifically to localised markets.
  • Proven experience of improving conversion and customer/ client value by analysing media spend and effectiveness to identify optimisation opportunities.  Exposure to working closely with external marketing agencies as well as senior stakeholders internally is important. 
  • Experience in financial modelling, budgeting  and revenue forecasting across different markets, and the ability to understand the impact of individual channels on overall marketing and company performance is preferred.
